Bank Holiday Monday 25th May 2026 will see the Saloon Stock cars race in the Jack Dain Memorial meeting and Skegness Raceway can now reveal details of the prize money up for grabs and they send a massive thank you to all the various sponsors who have contributed to the prize pot. It really has been a collective effort and although some sponsors have a dedicated race or award to their name, it really has been a case of sharing the pot around to create a prize fund that caters for everyone and all sponsors are equally gratefully received.
The meeting will see four Saloon Stock Car races staged on the day with the main Memorial final and three heat races. The exact format and official title of the three heat races will be determined by the amount of cars that are booked to race and will be adapted accordingly.
For all four races the prize money for 4th to 8th place inclusive will remain as standard.
The principal sponsor of the Jack Dain Memorial Final is THETFORD AUTOPARTS and will see the Top 3 receive £250, £150 and £100 respectively.
In addition to this there is also lap leader money and the leader at the end of every lap during the final will receive £20 for each lap they lead.
For the First White grade, the First Yellow and the First Blue over the line in the Final they will each receive a £100 voucher for ANNIE'S HARDWARE and DIY STORE.
Also for the first White and the first Yellow grade drivers in the final, as well as the above voucher, they will also receive £50 each courtesy of our regular sponsor of this award, OWENS HORSEBOXES.
The 3 heat races are sponsored by
DOLPHIN EXECUTIVE TRAVEL
PSH ENVIRONMENTAL
MMP SCRAP CAR COLLECTION
The First drivers in all three heat races will receive £125, £80 and £60 respectively.
For all three Heats there will also be lap leader money with £10 going to the leader at the end of every lap during all 3 races.
The other, just as important sponsors who have also contributed to the prize fund and their much appreciated support has helped boost the prize money and lap leader money. Those additional sponsors are

TLF RACE FABRICATION
CT BARNES AUTOS
SAXON MOTORS
610MOT.com are also sponsors for the grade awards that will be awarded to the highest points scorers over the whole meeting in the four respective grades (Reds and Champions are combined as one grade)
The meeting's highest points scorer in each grade will receive £100 each, with the second highest in each grade receiving £50 each (in the event of a tie on points it will be the highest placed driver in the Final that will be determined as the winner).
The final awards for the day will come in the form of some Brand New Tyres and Skegness Raceway wish to thank both
IAN ROBERTSON
PSH ENVIRONMENTAL
for the donation of 8 tyres . There will be 2 tyres on each of the four races and a random draw will take place before each race to see which two race positions in the results will each receive a Tyre once the race has been completed.
An amazing contribution from all of the sponsors, for which Skegness Raceway are most grateful and it is a real reflection of how highly thought of Jack Dain was, and always will be, amongst the Saloon Stock Car community.
Remember that East Anglian legends will be back on track for a special ‘match race’ in Jack's honour in 1990s Talbots.
(126) Willie Barnes, (590) John Halifax and (636) Conrad Self are once again gracing the Skegness Raceway and now it can be announced that a fourth and final legend joining them on track in a Talbot, that being (76) Adrian Kew. All four of these East Anglian stars owe a great deal to Jack Dain for their success back in the day and it will be quite a sight to see them all on track again.
It promises to be a special day of Saloon Stock Car action, especially for ‘Jack the Rat’ and bookings will be opening soon. Drivers are advised to keep eyes open for that announcement.
